Hi DPI Graphics. Do you have a Windows XP CD?

If you have one then try following these steps to repair your system:

    1. Boot from your Windows XP CD. When you boot from the CD you should see an option that says Press R to boot into the recovery console. When you see that option press R.
    2. Once you boot into the recovery console it will ask you which Windows installation you wish to log into.
    3. Type 1 and hit enter.
    4. Now the recovery console will ask you to type the administrator password. If you don't have a password then leave the line blank otherwise type the password in and hit enter.
    5. Next type the following commands and hit enter after each one.

    fixboot
    fixmbr
    chkdsk /r

    6. You may be asked to confirm an action after typing in the commands. Type Y to confirm the action if you are asked. After check disk has finished checking your harddrive type exit to quit setup. Hopefully the computer will now boot.
    7. If the computer still doesn't boot up properly then try Performing a Repair Installation of Windows XP.

Let me know if you can get the machine to boot up.

I didn't get a chance to fix it because a Trojan got in and wiped out the file handling software. I had the original small hdd that I replaced with new larger one so I am running from it and the trojan has been removed. I am going to close this thread out and start out a new one. Thanks for your help and I hope someone will have an answer for the new thread. DPI.
