Thank you. During the installation of XP SP2, the drive is being formatted as 350 gb, but after the installation and reboot, the drive is being recognized as 250 gb.

Is it a brand new drive that didn't already have partitions on it?

How old is the computer? It may be a limitation of your bios rather than XP. Have you checked to see if there's an update available for it? If it turns out your bios doesn't support it, the drive manufacturer should have software you can install that will make it so XP can see all of it.

What is the make and model of the computer? Also, the make of the new hard drive?

you might want to try "big drive enabler" i think it is by Western digital just google it and install it and it will reconize the rest of your hard drive not unless you have different partitions but to check just right click my computer click on manage and look for Drive Management you should be able to see how many hard drives you have and if they are partitioned

    I thought 2 Terrabyte's was the limit?

I recently bought a Lacie NAs device with 4 x 1Tb disks and had to split it in 2 partitions as Windows wouldn't use anything about 2Tb.

I have created systems that have run up to 4tb of storage on a windows 2000 machine with no problem but you do have to run that software "Big Drive Enabler" in order for it to recognize the 4tb
