xp sp1 [error downloading updates]

    my friend told me yesterday that she has trouble downloading the auto updates. she gets the error message telling her her xp version is a copy

    she tells me its sp1.

    can she download sp2?.

    i told her she would have to buy a copy of sp2 like i did ( oem version) for £70

    Windows XP Service Pack 2 is a free but large download. A CD can be orderd for free. Your local computer shop may have it and should give it to you free of charge.
