On Windows XP I can seem to gain rights to my shared folder, I have read only rights and for some reason same goes for my AOL downloads file. I have tried unchecking the read only box in properties but it tells me I have no right to do that the file is not selected as private. please help, I am going crazy trying to solve this. BTW I am set as administrator.

Also when I alt>ctrl>del and task manager process screen shows me that my "system idle process" is in the 80's to 90's with a total of 45 processes running is this normal?

Hi homeshopper - and Welcome to the Board :)

You probably need to take ownership of the folders/files - see this post
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20713

Yes - system idle loops when the processor is not being used by other programs/processes - high 90's normal, but 45 processes seems excessive; however it depends on whats loaded to your m/c - all the info is in Task Manager - check them out!
