Found some old information on the forum regarding this but wondering if anyone has since found how to do this.

I have a program that will only run with Administrator priviledges. The person who needs to run it has a limited account and thus everytime they click on the shortcut I need to provide my password. Is there any way to make Windows remember the password for the runas command??

I am running Windows XP Home.

    Thanks for your help.

I have looked quite a few times and have only been able to find solutions that leave the admin password as clear text that the user can easily get at so no good there.

Have you tried giving the user admin rights to the app in question? I don't work with the home version so the mechanics are different but I think if you boot to safe mode and log in as administrator, you can go into windows explorer, right-click the folder containing the program, and via the security tab, add the user to just that folder with full access.

Glad it did the job for you. XP-home has most of the security options available but they are harder to find than in XP-pro.
