I have an XP Pro SP2 box that has a share created with "Everyone" having full permissions to that share.

The problem I'm having is with a couple 9x machines connecting to that share. It continues to ask for a password when trying to connect.

A couple points that don't make sense...
-- I have another XP Pro SP2 box with the identical share that those same 9x machines can connect to without supplying the password.
-- I have other 9x machines that can connect to the share without supplying the password.
-- The 9x machines that can't connect to the share actually are being logged onto the network using Administrator and the same password as that of the XP machine

I do have Simple Flie Sharing Disabled and Network Access is set to classic.

I've went as far as disabling the firewall and enabling the guest account, but still no luck.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.

Tony, thanks for the link, but that isn't the case in this situation. The 9x boxes are logging in and the account is already created on the xp boxes. I have 2 identical shares on 2 xp boxes, and they have the same user accounts. The 9x boxes connect to 1 but not the other.
