I need to make a boot disk with CD Rom support. I think I need to do a clean install of XP (re-format ect.). However I am scard to do this at this time knowing I have no boot disk. I tried ME "s boot disk with CD Rom support but the system will not read any disks (abort, retry, fail). However it recogonizes the drive. Any help would be apprciated. Thanks

ME can't read the disks becasue they are probably NTFS format. You don't need a boot disk for XP becasue the CD is bootable and contains all the recovery tools necessary.

Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from the CD as the 2nd or 3rd option. Normally the sequence is floppy, CD, fixed disk.

    Hi, Don ~

When you boot from your XP CD, you will be presented with a blank screen with the words, "Press any key to boot from CD..." and you will only have a small window of time to comply before it boots to the HD.
