Hello, I have an older computer up and running XP professional. The computer is not recognizing the correct size of my SATA hdd. I updated the BIOS to a version that is suspposed to recognize drives larger than 132GB. The mobo is an ECS 755-A2 rev1.0 with bios version 1.1b. The drive is a 320Gb Western Digital Caviar Blue. The computer thinks it is 128GB. When I enter bios to look at the drives the name of this drive is garbled. Does anyone know how to get windows or bios to see the real size of my drive? I originally installed the drive before I updated bios, could this be the problem? Thanks for your help, Eric.

From what I can see your MB uses a SIS 964 chipset.

That’s a Sata 1 controller so you’ll have to jump pins 5 and 6 on the WD drive.
Hopefully you can find a jumper pin somewhere.
