Recently after installing SP2 and some other critical update to my home XP pro system I can no longer log in to my "my.yahoo.homepage ". I get an error stating my browser is not allowing cookies.

I have disable the XP firewall.
    Cleared all cookies.
    Cleared IE history.
    Cleared IE files.
enable prompt for cookies and third party cookies
    rebooted

I still get the same error.

If I go to other web sites I am prompted to accept the sites cookie but not for my.yahoo. The problem is with my PC because I can access the page with other XP work computers.

I have found various posts on the net with people having the same issue but no resolution.

    Help!

I don't know offhand what the problem is - probably related to SP2. but if I may point out that MS suggested that SP 2 (beta certainly, probably RC 1 too) should not be installed to a computer on which you rely for day to day work.

Suggest you uninstall it. MS acknowledge that the new security features may not work with certain software - this is one reason why SP 2 has been delayed until July or later. There is an RC 2 to be released first ....
