We have a Gateway pc that came with XP media center 2002 on it (that's what it says in system properties) now SP2. It's running fine, the problem is some new software we want to install on it requires XP or XP media center 2005.

Is it possible to re format and install XP home on it using the numbers on the media center sticker on the back of the pc?

We have no use for the media center part of it any way.
    Or any other ideas?
    Thanks,

Nope...The Media Center key code is different then a Home or Pro code.

What is the name of the app you want to install?
Have you doubled checked with their support department?

Media Center is a cross between Home and Pro with the MC part thrown in.

Thanks, I didn't think it would work, but I had to ask.

No, I didn't check with support yet.
The app's are the newest version of my anti virus (Trend, already paid for) and the Zune software.
