I have 2 XP Pro laptops. During the boot, they blue screen. It flashes by so fast, you cant see the errors and then it restarts. They keep doing it over and over.

Any ideas what this is about?

Is this a new install of XP ?
Try resetting the BIOS to it's defaults, otherwise this could be a hardware issue.

    Cheers

    Hi Dagga

    Sue

If resetting the BIOS as Dagga suggested does not fix the problem then do this!

You don't say how far into the boot it gets, so this may not work.

Attempt to enter safe mode by hitting the F8 key during boot. Begin immediately after the memory countdown. Tap about every second!

    Let us know!

Did BOTH computers work in the past? If so did you install new software and do it to both.

Or do you network them togather?

Or did you use a disk in one and it started this and when you used the same disk in the other did it then fail also?

If they worked what was the last thing you did on both?

This is no coincedence! Two different computers at same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both laptops were done with the same image the day before the failures. I used a third party software (erd commander) to boot and view the errors. According to event viewer it is a bios error. Trying to use default bios did not work.

I reimaged the laptops and upgraded the bios. I have rebooted them about 15 times and let them run all night....all seems good.

These laptops originally had windows 98 on them and all bios were suppose to be upgraded before we went to XP. IT appears that a few were over looked. Only 598 more bois to check!

    Thanks for eveyones help.
