I have recently purchased a new DELL with XP Home installed. I have a webcam and used to use Yahoo webchat . However since activating ICF I am no longer able to start my own webcam or view others. I keep getting the message that a firewall is enabled.

It doesn't seem to matter whther I have ICF enabled or disabled, I get the same problem.

I located advice on the Yahoo site which suggested the following

From the Start menu click on Control Panel. Double click on the Network Connections icon.
Right click the connection that you use to connect to the Internet, and then click on Properties.
On the Advanced tab, uncheck the box Protect my computer... if you would like to disable the firewall.
If you like to only open the webcam ports, check the box and continue with the remaining steps.
    Click the Settings button.
    Click the Add button.
Under Description... fill in Yahoo! Webcam.
Under Name or IP... fill in 127.0.0.1.
Under both External Port and Internal Port fill in 5100.
    Check the button TCP.
Click OK to close all opened dialog boxes.

This did not work as when I close the dialogs and then reopen it, the Name /IP address has reverted back to the name of my PC not 127.0.0.1 as entered.

Anybody got any ideas how I get around this???

Maybe go to this Yahoo help page, accept the "Yahoo Webcam Upload Wrapper" download to check to make sure the webcam is working the way Yahoo thinks it should.
