    Getting old, can't remember...
    Start button ->Settings:
    I show:
    Control panel->
    Printers and Fax->
    Taskbar and Start menu

    I don't recall how I edited these entries ( if I in fact did ?)

    Is it possible to get "Folder Options" in this menu ?
    ie
    Control Panel
    Folder Options ?
    Printer and Fax
    Taskbar and Start menu

    I have "Control Panel" set to expand and can get to folder options thru there.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    regards:captjlddavis

    Right click the Start button > Properties > Start Menu > Customize button > Advanced tab, and you'll find all the available setting that XP offers. Anything else will require 3rd party help. No "Folder Options" there.

    I understand how you feel, I often forget where this stuff is located.

    Sure beats the alternative, though! :D

    As I've told people for years (adjusting annually, of course), I'm a 29 year old man, with a 49 year old body (I wish!), and a 69 year old birth certificate.

    I'm just about ready for Halloween, 2004, and somehow or other it's already Valentine's Day, 2005!

    I found this "Create Shortcut to Folder Options Window" page on The Elder Geek's site, but it doesn't work for me ... maybe because I use Classic mode? Perhaps you'll have better luck.

    JSS3rd,

    No problem creating "ShortCut" to folder options on Desktop or Start Button
    I was trying to get "Folder Options" to display in Start->Settings as it does in Win98se...

    You can add Folder Options to the Windows Explorer icon bar by View > Toolbars > Customize - in Classic view at least, if that is of any help to you.
