I recently upgrade my XP Home Edition (Chinese) to Pro (English). The upgrade seemed to uninstall Home for good, but there are still some traces of the old Chinese stuff. For example, some interfaces of my Symantec Antivirus are showed in Chinese. Also, when I tried to install new softwares, the 'default' language is Chinese.

At the Regional and Language Options, English is the default, and I chose 'Chinese' at the Advanced section for non-unicode programs (changing this to English didn't solve my problem).

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

Wonder if upgradation of one region Win over another is even supported by MS.

I apologize for the choice of word. It was not an 'upgrade' actually, the installation process deleted my old Home Edition first, and then installed the Pro.
The process started on the Windows interface, and not through booting or DOS.
