    Hi,

I decided to switch ON my Administrator account on my XP Home while there was already a user Admin existing.

    I went to HKLM-SW-Microsoft-Windows NT-WinLogon-Special Accounts-User List.

I then created a new REG_DWORD called Administrator and set the value to 1

I logged off and when I logged on nothing happened.

(This worked perfectly well on my other system running XP PRO)

After 2 days the Administrator account appeard mysteriously for a couple of hours and disappeared again on my XP HOME.

Can some one tell me what is happening?

Can also some one tell me as to how to switch on Local users and groups in Home. No mattr what I do, no chance.

    Will appreciate help
    thanks
    thomas

The Admin account is disabled on XP home except when you logon in safe mode.
