If you do not have a firewall, you need one.

NAT is not a firewall and not a real substitute for one.

XP's ICF (pre service pack 2) is not great but better than nothing.

XP SP2's firewall is much better but still lacks features of a commercial product.

If you do not have a firewall, you need one.

Use it to be more secure. A huge percentage of attacks at corporations are internal attacks. The basica rule of thumb is to not trust anybody.

    :) XP Firewall
I use two computers, with one,. Monitor, mouse, keyboard, KVM switch,. Charter cable ISP. The first computer in line is the XP Firewall enabled,. external modem, router. Two McAfee Virus Scan one for each email account, I have two email accounts, two Mail Washer’s. Have I more or less than I need?

Less, if I read your setup correctly. Both PCs have their own internet connection so both need a running firewall.

If you have the ICF (XP up to SP1) I'd suggest getting a 3rd party firewall.

If you have XP SP2, you will find well reasoned arguments saying why I'm wrong but I am comfortable with just the firewall included with SP2.
