XP error after Windows Update to sp1a

    After installing the Windows Update sp1a the XP pro (fully licensed pc!) I receive this error message:

    A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the liecnese for this computer. Error Code: 0x8007007f

    Any suggestions? This IS a licensed pc and o/s. It did not have ANY service packs on prior to this one.
