    Hi to all.

Just want to ask if there are any Windows XP users who re-formatted their PCs and installed Windows 7 beta? I know Windows 7 will work with Vista and its commercial release.

Just want to ask if it's possible for a PC, let's say a 2006 laptop with Windows Media 2005 with 1.5GB RAM, possible to install Windows 7? Or am I too early to ask?

I'm asking this because I cant find any Vista drivers for my sis's laptop from the manufacturer's website as it's not listed there anymore so she's stuck on the CD that came with it. The drivers are the ones used for the hardwares of the laptop.

The website is www.neo.com.ph and the model is Neo Empriva m54n (540NX2). Yeah, I searched for drivers and nothing. So is it possible to use the XP drivers for Windows 7?

    Thank you for your time.

    Yours truly,
    Chris

PS: I dont know if the drivers are vista ready or not but they said that the unit is Vista capable. Hopefully, they shipped dual OS compatibility on the laptop.

You won't stand a chance if there are no Vista drivers for your hardware. You will not be able to use XP drivers on Windows 7 (like you can't in Vista in most cases).

I covered that with my "in most cases ". Drivers which most likely won't work:

    • Network drivers
    • Printer drivers
    • Chipset drivers
    • Sound drivers
    • Others?
