    Dear Friends,

I've been doing some brutal but very useful things under Win 9x, like synching the Outlook message base between two machines via a simple compare & copy application.

This implied overwriting 50-100 MB of Outlook data over and over. I've been doing this for over a year under ME and 98FE, but I now need to upgrqade to (probably) 2k and XP.

    QUESTION:

Given the XP permissions regime, is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to keep copying such files between machines and be able to open then in Outlook as a normal user?

    TIA!

With proper permissions to the files, no reason it shouldn't work much as it does now.
