    When printing is requested a warning is received
    "!Printer not responding ", then after aprox 45 second delay
    my blank paper reserve is sent through the printer in rapid time
    without any actual printing taking place.
    Current conditions include;
    New ink tanks, new Canon "long life" head.
    Have swapped another 'working' S750 & print cables with the XP machine. (same problem)
    Have relocated 'suspect' S750 to another computer W98 (works fine)
    Have uninstalled & reinstalled Canon Drivers in XP several times.
    Have toured the Canon Troubleshooting database without success & could not find anything similiar @ bbs
    Suspect there maybe a preferred XP driver somewhere or some software conflict but simply don't know. In your hands.
    Cheers

    good thinking Bill

    Bill, thankyou for your thoughts on my XP Vrs printer dilemma.
    Think your on the right track with the canon site you suggested.
    Unfortunately, that US Canon site will not allow me to open the relevant "driver extractor" link. Could be the time day/night difference between the US & Australia & will try again later.
    But i think that your on the right track. Suspect that XP's program uninstall has not been able to removed all the canon 750 files & hence the conflict. Thanks again for your suggestion. Fingers crossed i will get the Canon link to open shortly. Happy to hear of any other possible solutions. Best Regards alcheme
