    (0xF7B8A354, 0x000000FF, 0x00000001, 0x804E2E41)
This is as far as I get time and time will not even boot in safe mode or any other advance safe mode features.
Please can anyone help I do not want to wipe my hard drive aS that may not cure the fault as it may be MoB or CPU, it is not the memory I have tested this.

Is that the complete error message?

Does the Stop message point to a category of devices (video or disk adapters, for example)?

Did you recently install a new device, service or firmware?

Here are a couple of Microsoft links that may be of some help:

Hi, thanks for the reply. No I have not installed anything as far as I can remember, nothing that has not been working perfectly for months. Yes I have looked at the above links before. No there is nothing else in the stop message. Even if there is a cure for the faults how do i repair it if the system will not let me in. I tried going to recovery console with the XP disc but it asks for a password, there was never a password setup on admin.

    Thanks for anr further advice.

Hi, Is there anyway of saving my hard drive onto a partition on another computer before I format the hard drive. I do know that you can do this when changing HD.

STOP: 0x000000A - info on troubleshooting 0x000000A errors here.
Install the drive as a slave in the second computer and copy your data to the master drive.

Your Outlook Express 6 email folders are .dbx folders to be found in ....

    C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\.....

That is the default location for the store folder - I have moved mine to another drive so cannot be certain of the exact default path beyond \Microsoft\.... You will need to enable 'Show hidden files and folders' under Tools > Folder Options > View in Windows Explorer.

You will also find your Address Book .wab there.

Favourites and cookies are to be found in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\

You cannot copy or move Program files as any program which is installed is also part installed in various Windows folders such as System32. You will need to reinstall all your programs.
