XP Auto connect not working!

Hey guys and gals, got a puzzler for ya-
Sat afternoon, my autoconnect stopped working. Usually it would come up when I opened explorer or outlook. Now it doesnt Ive made an icon for the connectoid on the desk top, and that connects fine, just not when I open anything up. Ive checked settings in internet options, is the only connectoid, its set as default, and its set to always dial my default connection. Ive tried deleting and remaking the connectoid to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? Im desperate here.....

 

You could delete your dialup connection and then make a new connection. Make sure you write down all the current settings though. But an easier option might be to use the system restore function to roll back the computer to a day or two before last saturday.
