I've got Office 2000, excel powerpoint work fine on it, word how ever wont run now. I get following error:

Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.2717 ModName: mso9.dll
    ModVer: 9.0.0.2720 Offset: 00082f4e

Ive tried to repair but it didnt do nothing. Any ideas? I dont want to spend the money to replace Office or just buy Word.

    Thanks.

Try a system cleanup via right-click on your system drive in My Computer then left-click properties and the Disk Cleanup button. If you don't run it regularly it will take quite a while so give it time. When the initial 'what to remove' list is generated, check all the blocks.

After that finishes, click on start, on run, key in
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
and click OK to let the system file checker locate any damaged or missing system files and replace them from your XP install CD.

If it still won't work for you, uninstall Office and reinstall it. You won't lose any documents in the process.
