Just recently I had a computer built and with is my old Voodoo 4 that i used previously. When I got it back today, I installed some games and tried unreal tourny out. It said it couldn't detect a 3d card. So i tried the Battlefield 1942 demo, which also did the same thing.

I checked the control panel and it said that the card was available and running fine. Any help as to what is going on would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with a program. But it was an older one.

It kept telling me that it could not find the proper Video setup.

The only thing I can think of is that is looking for an ISA or PCI card and I have an AGP.

BTW. The program WAS running fine ( as it was on the system when I UPDATED 98 to SE ) until I re-formated and re-installed 98. Now it will not reload.

Make sure you are using the native XP drivers. The ones that came with the card don't work well, and neither do any of the third party drivers you can find on the net. I have a v4 4500 pci card, and it will work fine if you let XP have its way.
