Hi, I got into last February but I never did resolve it. But I have fine tuned the issues.

In case you want to read it: Previous Thread from Feb 08

I have the good ol' MS Photo Editor 3.0 that I still use on my XP Pro computer. Of 3 profiles, I am the only Admin login. Though Photo Editor is accessible via any login, it can only find jpg files in mine. Though it is specified in the JPG File Types as the designated program in all profiles, I get a message that says that this file type could not be found in the registry in the limited accts. When I try to open the file through Photo Editor/file/open, the prog does not even sow the jpg's. I also have Adobe Elements 2.0 installed and it can open those files in the limited accounts as well as my admin but I would greatly prefer Photo Editor to do so.

Any suggestions on how to bridge the admin/limited gap in this case?

    Thanks, Lar

Last time I had no luck but this time a search proved fruitful.

The problem of permissions is solved by a registry alteration at:

    Knowledge Base Article Q260151

Thanks and I hope that someone else finds this useful, to.

Now I have to find out why it only prints a blank page sometimes. Hmmmm.
