When I boot up my computer I get an error message, i.e., "WSAENETDOWN" Listenonporttreadnew()socket()failed. It appears twice and I have to hit ok each time to remove it. How can I correct this error and get rid of it. Thanks

That's a strange error. The only reference I found was in the MSDN

Check your Winsock, protocol stack, network driver, and network interface card configuration. Note that this error occurs rarely, because a Winsock implementation cannot reliably detect hardware problems.
