write protected on disk drive

    hello,
    i need help----all of a sudden everytime i attempt to save something on a disk it says "Disk A is write protected> A file cannot be saved on write protected disk. what is that?????? I have had the same box of disk for 6 months and they worked before. i am trying to save important info on a disk

    Check the lock/unlock switch on the upper left hand "back" side of the floppy.

    If you can see through both holes on the floppy, it is write protected.
