write protected error on usb drive in windows xp

    hi guys i can't copy paste or save data in usb drive like some one has disable usb drive function or something else can u guide to me how can i fix it because same usb drive i can use other windows xp machine and can copy paste and save as well.How can i fix it the message appears write acess protected but i can use different machine.. any guide
    is there any funtion is disable in windows xp service or something different..
    can u clarify about this

    I had the same problem once. Then I discovered that some of these devices have a write protection switch. Look very carefully at the device, especially along the narrow edge; you may find a slide switch for write protection.
