    Hi
Whenever my friend is getting an attachment, or just simply downloads anything from the Net, that file gets an extra .wpd extension.
    Example: A file : "NSSetup.exe" will download as "NSSetup.exe.wpd "
When double clicked, no wonder, Winword will try to open it, assuming it's some kind of text file. When that ".wpd" extension is manually removed (file renamed), everything works OK.
Same thing with graphic files. He receives file "summer.jpg.wpd ". Remove ".wpd ", and it opens without a problem in any graphic program.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Broni

Thanks to two links provided, the problem is solved.
This is waht I asked my friend to do:
    Go:
    Edit>Preferences>Netscape>Helper Application
See, if you have "application/octet-stream" listed there, and if "extension" underneath says ".wpd ". If so, highlight that "application/octet-stream ", and click "Remove ".

He applied just that, and everything is back to normal.
    Thank you very much.
