    Hi

Just read this article on the new Worm which is about. It seems that every opportunity has and will be taken. Read about it here.

    SARS Worm - W32/CORONEX

Hopefully OK to post this as the newslettter does allow for e-mail distribution etc

I just think it is very interesting.

-- whether it be concealed in an email purporting to offer nude pictures of female celebrities or exclusive spy pictures of Iraq.

I have suddenly begun to recieve some of the forms of e-mails listed.

But I use mail Washer with NAV. NAV deteted a possible Virus so I just delete them right off of the server.

And it does no good to bounce them as they just come right back and proves to the sender that your address is ligit.

So from experience of my own I strongly urge user to keep their AV deffinitions up to date and use something like MailWasher to preview mail before downloading.

I say this because by me being stupid and careless idiot than I am on occasion, I opened one last evening and had to COMPLETELY un-install and reinstall Norton Internet Security and NAV this moning. Both had been completely disabled with no recourse other than remove and reinstall.

    Def. updates

    Hi

I use NIS with NAV and before I do anything on the PC I update the software first.

I have a saftey net with my ISP as they collect Spam & potential viruses etc in the web server. This is another part of my rountine. I check webmail first and can delete anything I do not know who is from. It may be the long way to get your e-mails but I think it is the safest.

At least you have been able to rectify the matter with uninstall / reinstall. It certainly proves that it is not wise at all to attempt to open anything .....

A wise warning to everyone from yourself.

I am not surprised by this, it is to be expected. Wasn't it P.T Barnum that had a quote about a certain type of person being born every minute?
