My provider is Bellsouth AT&T DSL. When I click on the IE icon, it will let me try to connect, but the following message comes up: "No connection to the Internet is currently available & to view Internet content that has been saved on your computer, click work offline. Click "try again" to attempt to connect ". When I click "try again" it will connect me to my homepage.

This is getting kind of old, because it was not doing this before. Can someone please tell me what I must do to stop this message coming up every time I try to get on the internet?

    Thank you in advance.

Hi WesternKY. What Operating System are you running and what version of Internet Explorer? Does this work offline message happen everytime you open IE? Have you tried a different browser? Does the same thing happen? I have seen this message on occcasion but have never seen it happen everytime I start up IE.

Check out Tools > Internet Options > Connections tab. Make sure Never dial a connection is selected.

    Hello everyone!!!

Thank you so very much for your replys. I am using IE 7, Windows XP. No, it does not pop up every time I get on IE. Once I click on "retry again" it seems to work find. I can move around as normal. I have found out that if it turn the computer off, and log back in, click on the IE icon, then it usually will pop up.

It looked into Tools > Internet Options > Connections tab, but "never dial a connection" is no where to be seen.

If you are on ADSL the 'Never dial...' option is set and greyed out - from IE 8, same in 7 .....

Have you trieda Reset of IE?

    Hello PeteC,

I will give the Resaet of IE a try. I seen that, but was scared to mess with it thinking that I would really mess something up or lose a bunch of stuff.

I am now going to have to get ready to go to Washington DC for our President's inauguration. God Bless.
