Resolved Wordpress [Free hosting and Domain name for trial period]

    Hi,
    I have built websites in the past using Serif WebPlus and similar, but am now interested in using Wordpress.
    Before I build a proper website, I would like to do some practice with Wordpress. I understand that one of the first requirements is a domain name.
    Can anyone recommend a company who will provide free hosting and a free domain for a trial period. My potential customer has not decided on a domain name yet.

    GoDaddy seems to be the majorities pick, not sure 'bout free trials etc. though...

    The only way to do practice with Wordpress is to setup your own Web server in your home. Best way to do that is to take an old computer, install minimal Linux on it, then install Apache Web server, PHP5, MySQL server, phpMyAdmin. That will keep you busy for a few days, trial & error. Then install Wordpress & go to town.

    Otherwise, you'll have to pay for hosting somewhere & practice with Wordpress.
