I open two word documents to compare differences. When I open the second document I get an error message saying my document has caused a serious error and will need to be recovered. What is causing that?

Word has a built in crash recovery and thinks the doc crashed last time it was used.

If you re-save the file, close it and reopen it, does the message go away?

I did a repair which did not fix it and was ready to reinstall my Office software when I remembered that I had installed a little program "add on" called Word Toy. It was causing the problem. I removed it and the problem is gone! :D
