Word Pad font

    ok this should be easy for someone. I got WordPad with my Win 8.1. When I open it always uses a Calibri 11pt font. I like something else. Is there a way to make permanent my selection? So I don not have to change it every time I use Word Pad.

    It would appear that you need to create a default template with the required font, etc .....

    Windows 7: Wordpad Default Font

    Although it says Win 7 should work in 8
