    Hi.

Almost every time I close a Word 97-2003 (compatibility mode) document in my Word 2007 program I get a message that "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I am also told that "The informatiion you were working on might be lost. Microsoft Office Word can try to recover it for you." I know that is my printer driver thats causing. I've downloaded different drivers but still this happens. Any Help?

    Thanks
    Etienne

Hi Etienne, I just Googled "MS 97 and 2003 and 2007 compatible" and there is a need for a couple of MS downloads from what I read. Neil.

If you are saving a past document, you want to save it in 97-2003, or else once u save in 2007, it will not be able to be open on another machine with 2003

    Try SAVE AS
then go save it in your 97-2003 format. A message will come up asking you if you want to save this or all your docs in 97-2003

I recall saying yes each time.
    see if that helps

UNLESS you want to save all ur docs in 2007.
