jazzbo to my knowledge Word97 isn't really compatible with win2000pro. We have had that trouble before here at our Computer store with customers wanting Word97 to be reinstalled when they had just upgraded to either win2000 or XP. Unfortunately I have never gotten it to work at all. If you can try upgrading to Word2000 (which if you purchase a copy of Works Suite 2002 comes with it and costs around 50 - 60 dollars US). If I remember correctly there is a built in application in Word 2000 that helps you convert Word97 docs to the newer style. Hope this helps:)

    Hi jazzbo

If there is a "compatability issue" with Word97 and 2k your sunk.
BUT I am NOT having any problem with Word97 installed on my new XP Pro.
This statement appears to be a basic "path" problem. Go to...
Tools| Options| select "File Location" tab.
You say this is a "re-install. If it worked previous, it should work again.
