On a new notebook with windows 7 home premium and office 7 starter, I have loaded office 2000 without problems. With the Word package just opened, after a while a message informs me that the program is not working anymore. Details are as follows:
    problem:Appcrash
    name of application:winword.exe
    vers. appl. 9.003822
    error module: mssp3it.dll
    mod. version: 12.0.0.15
    timestamp of err. mod: 450599a2
    exc. code: 00042175
    ....
All other programs (Excel, etc) work perfectly.
I have uninstalled the Office 7 without any changing.
    Online solution provides no answer.
    Any suggestions will be helpfull.

    Thank you Steve.
Office 7 was preloaded and now is cancelled. Office 2000 (Office 2000SR-1 Premium) is mine (I have licence).
I have "repaired "(reloaded) office 2000 after cancellation of office 7.
It is not a problem of licence since other programs are working.

    Thank you Arie and Steve.
The problem has been suddenly resolved using windows Update (I don't know how)...
I have checked the registry key which is still untouched.
    Thank you again
