I put game discs in drive but Windows won't start auto install for any of them. The game i am having most problem with is Assassins Creed 2. It says its incompatible with Windows. I copied other games from my XP machine instead of fighting with Windows. They work fine. Think i might do same with AC2 as my XP has no problems installing what i ask it to install. Windows Autoplay window also does not show "install from CD" option like my XP does. Is there a way to get that corrected? Or did Microsoft leave it out of Windows 7?

Hi Evan, Didn't the guy providing that procedure like W7? Maybe his wife called it that "Widows 7" Neil.

P.S. Big kefuffle here in NZ about a Restaurant printing a receipt with an Oscar Prestorius joke on it. Oscar wanted a new toilet door but Steena was dead against it.

My problem isn't disable Autoplay. It is getting Autoplay to work at all for games on DVD or CD. I have Autoplay enabled and choices made and saved. Still it not work for games on DVD or CD. It keeps going to the Mixed content choice instead of the games/software choice. I will just install on XP and then transfer to W7. Know that works. W7 still a big disappointment for games.

    I guess but I honestly don't know.

What happens if you run the setup.exe file manually for the game that you want to install on Windows 7?
