Is it possible with Win98SE ?
The MS Media Player version 6.4.07 I have does not seem to support
    wmv files. (MPEG-4 video encoding)
    Thanks for any advice.
    regards
PS1 Maybe this post should be moved to "Other SW" ?

Hi Matt, Thanks for the post and link to MS Media Player 9.0
I was tempted somer time ago to DL the upgrade, but was put off by the 13.3 mega download (that's 1 1/2 ours for me here, with nothing but Dialup)
I am dowloading it over a couple of days with DAP and will get back to
let you know if it runs wmv files here correctly.
    regards

Free Irfanview will also play ".wmv" files, and it's 850KB for a program, and 4.7MB for plugins

merlin, good to hear. Got the same dialup dramas myself, I also use DAP.

Interesting broni, I think Irfanview is great. Didn't know you could get plug-ins.

I think, Irfanview is one of the best free program out there. Check it out.
