WMP7.1 no visualizations

Cannot get any visualizations to play at all.
Could not get them to play in WMP7.0 either.
I have never seen such a poor player...but I am using Windows ME and I have never seen such a poor OS either...
It is no big thing if I can't get them as I have MMJB Plus....it is just irritating that WMP7.1 has so many defects and can't be uninstalled...

By "visualizations ", are you referring to video files?

 

No....the visualizations that are supposed to show when you play music...see:view/visualizations on the toolbar.I have downloaded and installed them but they never work...

 

Gotcha! I'm still using 6.4 even with 98SE (7.x didn't work with 95, the previous OS, and I never bothered upgrading to 7.0). 6.4 doesn't have those fancy little thingies (or at least I never found them), ergo I'll leave this to someone experienced in MP7.x.

Looking over the reviews of 7.1 on CNET, it's not a unanimously loved piece of software.

The page says that an uninstaller is included in the download.

 

Thanks...Unfortunately with Windows ME it can't be uninstalled...the only reason I dled the 7.1 is because the 7.0 didn't work.
On the other computer I have 6.4 and Windows98SE...which is far better than this Windows ME....MS should have stopped there with both the OS and the Media Player.

WMP7.0 was built from the ground up...not as an upgrade for 6.4...and it is a terrible piece of software...stay away from it!!
