It did earlier this week. I got the warning: 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.'

So I uninstall/reinstall. However, upon reinstall I got the error message saying something couldn't load because framedyn.dll was missing or corrupt. I googled the dll and went to a microsoft site giving reasons why I might be getting this error. Long story short I got the dll working. Now I can install WMP without getting the framedyn.dll error.

However, still can't play .wav audio files. Also opened WMP and clicked on the media guide and got the same error message when I tried to open or play anything listed there.

    What is missing? Thank you.
