wmp question

    wmp question,,,

    i just downloaded a snowboarding video from soulseek and its 505 mb. when i try to open it in wmp i get a message that reads "class not registered ".. when searching about i couldnt find much relative informatoin except that maybe the file is incomplete, anyways, does anyone know if there is a way to watch this file?? thanks..

    Do you have the latest version of Windows Media Player loaded? Ver 9 clears up all sorts of problems.

    thanks for the recomendations,, i got wmp9 and i tried both divfix and gspot but neither will open my file, its a mpeg and they dont work i guess.. this is unfortunate,, i searched for a while for this movie,, if anyone has any other recomemdations id love to hear em, if not thanks anyways,,

    What did GSpot say about required codecs? It tells you if the proper codecs are available and installed on your computer.

    You could try re-encoding it with TMPGEnc.

    Or you could try a player that accepts errors more graciously than WMP.

    Of course, it's always possible that the file is not a movie at all.
