    Hello,

I have a computer running Windows Vista that is unable to see any wireless networks. The wired internet is working fine. I have Avast free running as the anti-virus and have done scans with it, malwarebytes, and superantispyware.

This is what else I have tried so far:

-tried to manually start service and have it set to automatic
-ran sfc /scannow - it fixed some problems but could not fix others
-checked event viewer and see an error code for the WLAN service (3222070536)

Not sure if it is still a lingering virus or if the problem relates to the files that sfc could not repair - or something else?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'd like to avoid reinstalling Vista if possible.

    Thanks!

Ok, I figured it out. I scanned through the BBS.log file generated by sfc and found one file in the L2schemas directory under Windows that was not fixable. I took a copy of that file from a working Vista machine and replaced it. After a reboot I was able to see networks and connect wirelessly no problem. :)

Hopefully this helps someone out down the line. I had literally tried everything up until this fix.
