    I have a legacy DOS program I wrote in the Clipper language, and am having problems running it from the DOS prompt under Windows XP. So I would like to be able to boot my computer directly into DOS, with Windows not running, as in pre-Windows days. Is this possible? How?

    And bear in mind that the older OS should be installed first.

    Thanks Pete,

    I didn't pay too much attention to the subject :eek:

    @mackarness

    If reinstallation of XP or translation of software is not an option you could try using virtualbox or a similar solution.

    Edit:

    You could also try some of the GPL clipper implements/tools still available see wikipedia one of those mentioned may be your best option.
