Really? I don't think so !!!

Truth be known, there is a problem using a wireless card or adapter with service pack 2. The solution SEEMS to be networking by entering in the 26 (128 bit) encryption code all by yourself. If you have Linksys's Wireless Configuration Utility, it will scan for you.

Tell me - there HAS to be a better way !!!

Since this post had nothing (or nothing I could figure out) to do with the thread it was on, I split it into a new thread for you.

But I still have no clue what you need unless it was just to vent a little. If you'd like some help, please give details.

Could you elaborate on the problem you were having w/linksys wireless and SP2?

Have a neighbor with a Linksys wireless network. After SP2, the problem symptoms are:

On bootup, get a message from windows that it can't detect the network - the repair option re-establishes the network and it's fine untill next bootup. The repair goes thru shutting the network down, rebuilding the DNS cache - IP address. So the symptom is not keeping settings as far as I can tell.

The model #:WUSB11 v2.6
