Just recently, I am unable to connect my wireless router to the internet.

I use PPPoE as my connection. In the router configuration, there is a spot where I can set my username and password. When I try and connection, it says it can't validate my information. This is a TrueMobile wireless router from Dell. So...I figured it was my router. I tried a wireless linksys router I have and I get the same thing. It doesn't authenticate.

So, I plug the cat5 cable from my ISP box to my pc and configure my laptop for PPPoE and it works fine.

Any ideas? I believe the box that my ISP has provided me is a Breezecomm (somethime like that).

    Thanks.

Well...at noon today I tried to get it to work again....and this time it worked, but I don't know for how long.

All I did (and I have done it several of times), unplugged the BreezeAccess unit and my router. Plugged the BreezeAccess unit in, waited a couple of minutes and then plugged the router in. Then it finally took off.

I will try and update the firmware on both routers tonight.

Again, any comments on this let me know.

    I have XP SP1.

I think the problem is resolved now. I received an email from my ISP stating they where having a planned downtime this morning from midnight until 4am....according to the email, "scheduled maintenance and software upgrades on our authentication servers ".

I think they are fixing the problem me (and others) are getting. I haven't tried to connected this morning (will try when I get home), but would assume it will work.

    Will let you know.
