wireless printer

    Hp deskjet allinone printer works fine when hard cable but will not print wireless windows 10 I can print wireless with my anroid cell phone but cannot print with labtop .

    Did you install it separately? When you print via cable, your computer sends the print job out the printer cable directly to the printer. But when printing wireless, the print job goes out to an IP address via your router and then to the printer. So the wireless printer must be installed as a separate printer in your computer.

    Further to Bill's Post.
    I have a HP 1000 Notebook and to enable Wireless connection initially I had to have a cable connected to the HP Printer during the Software setup.
    Once the IP is recognized, you are informed to disconnect the cable.
    This has been working OK for 5 years now and like you said I can also use the Mobile HP Printer App on my Samsung phones to print photos or text.

    I have a Dell that I had to do like RETIREDLEARNER.
