I have an Ositech usb cable to hook up to my IBM notebook and
    6310i Nokia cell phone.
Nokia sells a serial cable but I have no serial port on the notebook.
I have tried ever way I can think of to install everything but have not been able to connect.
I signed up for att's data service with a 30 day free trial but it looks like I wont get to try it unless you folks can help.

    Thanks,

    Tom Christian

They make PC Card (PCMCIA card) serial devices. Might be a good option for you. I've found quite a few of them but all over $100.

This one is typical. Sounds like it would do the job for you if you want to spend the $$.

The probably make a USB - serial converter device but it's likely to be higher and not as reliable.

    thanks Newt,

The Nolia web site says the serial cable is not available until
June 20. CDW has one but will not be open till Tuesday.

I think my trouble is the USB cable so I will try the serial as soon
    as I find one.

I have an old pc card-serial adapter that I can try to..
