    Hi,
I have a PC connected to a router through wire and a notebook PC connected to the same router through wireless. Both PC can see each other. The problem is that: when I click from wireless PC "My Network Places\Entire Network\Microsoft Windows Network\Mygroup\WiredPC ", it pop up message say I don't the permission. but if I map "\\WiredPC\sharefolder" to a driver letter, than can access this sharefolder. From wired PC to access wireless PC doesn't has such problem.
    thanks.

    want a answer

My intension is to ask how to make this wireless PC to directly browse that wired PC without mapping driver, and why this problem happens.
    Thanks.

What operating system(s) (and service pack(s) if later OS versions)?

What happens if rather than mapping a drive, you connect via start => run => \\wiredpc\someshare?

I have a PC connected to a router through wire and a notebook PC connected to the same router through wireless.

Errrr - do you mean they connect to the same switch? Connecting a wired PC directly to a router would be a strange thing to do and with most of the SOHO router/switch devices would be somewhere between difficult and impossible.

    Thank you for your reply.
The router is D-Link DI-624, it is called wireless router. I think it built in with switch. It has 1 WAN port, 4 LAN ports and wireless antennes.
The wired PC OS is Windows XP professional without any Service Pack. The wireless PC OS is Windows XP professional with Service Pack 1.
The wireless PC can access wired PC share folder by key in \\wiredpc\sharedfoldername in the windows explorer address bar or via start => run => \\wiredpc\sharedfoldername.
I installed the same OS in another patition on same wired PC, this problem doesn't happen. I don't know what is the difference.
