I have had so many problems with going wireless that I've just plugged the **** cord back in when possible... Now that I'm away from home, this window keeps popping up ALL THE TIME! I click on it and it gives me:

the Available Networks: I click on the right one
Click the "always let me connect, unsecure etc" box
    and "connect "

now, this works for a minute or two, then I go back, do it all over again. then go to advanced and either check or uncheck the "allow windows to configure" box and see if that works... but same problem!!!

What am I doing wrong? This is very annoying!

    Thanks in advance!!

I'm thinking that I have one wrong thing checked or something because this thing will NOT stay connected when I'm using my wireless (see signature) and I am probably not 10 feet away from the darned router. And I swear if these bubbles keep popping up I'm going to throw my computer, LOL!!! :(

Can you walk me through it, DUMMY-Like?? LOL!!! I may just be missing something or a box isn't checked or ???? This has never worked properly for me. At home I finally got a really long cord and said to heck with it! But now I'm not home and I cannot do anything.... I will have to copy this post and if I disconnect, I have to paste it and start again!!!

    I really appreciate any advice!!!

    Thank you!

I noticed it comes with a WLAN Configuration Utility http://www.xterasys.com/xn2411b_installguide-winxp.htm
Are you using that to configure your network or Windows with the WZC? You can't use both. If you use the WLAN one then disable and stop WZC. Reboot.

Also if you are using Windows then uncheck authentication in the wireless properties -rightclick your connection in network connections then go to wireless properties highlight the connection and click properties>authentication, that is where it is.

Click on the wireless network tab and go to advanced and click the one you need and also uncheck automatically connect to non-preferred networks. This one is for home mostly. Or put your other connection in the preferred networks on trips.

http://www.funk.com/ has a network software you can try that works.
